Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an accessible, welcoming and inclusive community space that promotes wellbeing, personal growth, creativity, education and social connection.

We aim to do this by creating opportunities for people to participate rather than simply providing a building.

The Hub is about what happens when people come together.

We strive to - Support wellbeing

We aim to provide opportunities that support mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing while recognising that everyone has different needs, interests and beliefs.

Create connection

We want to help reduce isolation and create opportunities for people to meet others, build relationships and feel connected to their local community.

Encourage healthier living

Through classes, workshops, talks and activities, we aim to encourage positive approaches to physical and mental wellbeing and help people discover practical ways to look after themselves.

Support learning and personal development

We want people to have opportunities to learn new skills, explore ideas, build confidence and discover new possibilities.

Encourage creativity

Creativity can play an important role in wellbeing and connection. We want The Hub to be somewhere where people can create, experiment and share their talents.

Support local practitioners and organisations

By providing affordable and flexible spaces, we aim to support therapists, practitioners, teachers, community groups and small organisations to offer their services locally.

Encourage volunteering

We want to create meaningful opportunities for people to contribute their time, skills and experience.

Build partnerships

We believe collaboration makes communities stronger. We want to work with local businesses, organisations, groups and individuals who share our commitment to creating positive community outcomes.

Inclusion Matters

Everyone deserves to feel welcome.

The Hub is open to people of different ages, backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, abilities and life experiences.

You do not need to share a particular belief system to be part of The Hub.

While some of our activities may explore spirituality, mindfulness or complementary approaches to wellbeing, these are simply part of the wider range of activities available.

Our focus is on people, community and wellbeing

We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel respected and comfortable.

Growing With Our Community

We don't believe a community hub should stand still.

As the needs and interests of our community change, we want The Hub to change and grow with them.

We will listen to local people, welcome ideas and look for new ways to create opportunities.

We want to develop activities for different age groups, encourage new partnerships and explore projects that can have a positive impact locally.

The Hub is still growing, and that is something we are excited about.

There is an opportunity for local people to help shape what comes next.

Our Commitment

Becoming a CIC represents a commitment to putting community benefit at the heart of what we do.

We want The Hub to be a place that is practical, welcoming and genuinely useful.

We want to create opportunities rather than barriers.

We want to encourage people rather than judge them.

We want to celebrate what people can contribute rather than focus on what they cannot do.

And we want to build something that belongs not just to those who run The Hub, but to the wider community.

Together, we can build a stronger community

The Hub is here to help people Connect, Grow, Heal and Belong.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a thriving, inclusive and connected community where everyone has the opportunity to feel that they belong, discover their potential and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

We imagine a future where people have access to welcoming spaces, meaningful connections and opportunities that support their wellbeing, confidence and personal growth.

A future where no one feels that they have to face life's challenges completely alone.

And a future where communities are not simply places where people live, but places where people connect, contribute, support one another and grow together.

A Place Where Everyone Belongs

We want The Hub to become a place where people from all walks of life can come together.

Whether someone comes through our doors looking for support, friendship, learning, creativity, wellbeing, volunteering, a new opportunity or simply somewhere they feel comfortable, we want them to feel welcome.

We believe belonging is incredibly important.

Our vision is for The Hub to become a place where people can walk through the door and feel:

“There is a place for me here.”

A Stronger, More Connected Community

We want to contribute to a community where people know one another, support one another and have opportunities to participate.

We see The Hub as a meeting point a place where people, ideas, skills, organisations and opportunities can come together.

Over time, we want to build stronger connections between local residents, community groups, practitioners, organisations, businesses and volunteers.

By bringing people together, we hope to help create a community that is more connected, resilient and supportive creating Opportunities, Not Just Providing Space

Our vision goes beyond having a building that people can use we want The Hub to become a platform for opportunity.

A place where someone can turn an idea into an activity. Where a local practitioner can reach people who may benefit from their skills. Where a volunteer can find purpose and develop confidence. Where someone can discover a talent they didn't know they had. Where people can learn from one another. And where community-led ideas have somewhere to begin.

We want to encourage people to move from being participants to becoming contributors, creators and community builders.

A Community That Grows With Its People

No two communities are the same, and communities never stand still our vision is therefore not to create a fixed model of what The Hub should be.

Instead, we want to create something that can evolve alongside the people it serves.

We will listen

We will learn

We will respond

We will welcome new ideas and look for new opportunities to make a positive difference.

As the needs, interests and aspirations of our community change, we want The Hub to have the flexibility to change with them.

The community should help shape the future of The Hub.

Supporting Wellbeing in All Its Forms

We envision a community where wellbeing is understood as more than simply the absence of illness.

Wellbeing can come from connection, purpose, movement, creativity, learning, nature, relationships, reflection and having a sense of belonging.

We want The Hub to provide opportunities for people to explore different approaches to wellbeing in an environment that is respectful, inclusive and welcoming.

Our vision is for people to have greater opportunities to look after themselves, connect with others and discover what helps them thrive.

A Home for Community Ideas

We want The Hub to become a place where local ideas have the opportunity to grow.

There are talented, passionate and creative people within every community. Sometimes what is missing is not the idea — it is the space, support, confidence or opportunity to make it happen we want to help change that.

Our vision is to provide an environment where people can bring forward ideas, test new projects, collaborate with others and create activities that benefit the wider community.

Some ideas may become long-term projects others may simply create a conversation, a friendship or a positive experience we believe all of these things matter.

Building Through Partnership we believe the strongest communities are built together.

Our vision is to develop meaningful partnerships with local organisations, charities, community groups, businesses, practitioners, volunteers and individuals.

We don't want The Hub to operate in isolation.

We want to be part of a wider network of people and organisations working towards positive community outcomes.

By sharing knowledge, resources, skills and opportunities, we can help create an environment where more people can participate and benefit.

Creating Social Value

As a Community Interest Company, our vision is firmly rooted in community benefit.

We want the value created through The Hub to extend beyond the people who use the building today.

We want our activities, partnerships, volunteering opportunities and community projects to contribute towards a stronger and more connected local community over the long term.

Success for us isn't simply about how many people walk through our doors.

It is about what happens because they did

Perhaps someone makes a new friend

Perhaps someone discovers a new skill

Perhaps someone gains the confidence to try something new

Perhaps a local group finds somewhere to meet

Perhaps a volunteer discovers a new sense of purpose

Perhaps two organisations meet at The Hub and create something together that neither could have achieved alone.

These are the outcomes that matter to us.

Our Future

We want to see The Hub develop into a recognised and trusted community resource — a place people know they can come to, participate in and help shape.

We want to create a legacy that extends beyond the building itself.

A community where people feel less isolated

Where people have more opportunities

Where local ideas are encouraged

Where volunteering is valued

Where differences are respected

Where people have opportunities to learn and grow

And where everyone has the chance to contribute something meaningful

We know we cannot achieve this alone.

The future of The Hub will be created by the people who use it, volunteer within it, partner with it, support it and believe in what it can become.

Our vision is not to build The Hub for the community it is to build The Hub with the community.

The Hub We Want to Create

We want to create more than a community centre

We want to create a sense of belonging

More than activities, we want to create opportunities

More than services, we want to create connections

More than a building, we want to create a community asset with lasting social value.

And more than simply looking at what the community needs today, we want to help create opportunities for what the community could become tomorrow.

Connect. Grow. Heal. Belong.

Our vision is a community where everyone has the opportunity to do all four.

And we believe the journey towards that vision starts with all of us, together.
